It just requires some extra thought, planning and a few things done differently. As a local living in Croatia I know that travel to Croatia can seem daunting – but trust me, once you arrive at any one of these resorts you’ll be relaxed and glad you came.
Family Hotel Amarin

Located in Rovinj, the brand new Hotel Amarin is the perfect base for exploring the delights of Istria as a family. We stayed here in 2017 and had a brilliant time.
Located on a stunning peninsula, surrounded by beachfront, families can enjoy the luxury of sunny days at the shore while being close to the attractions of the city.

Our Favourite Kids Hotel For 2019
This is the ideal outdoor adventure campsite for families, located around close to Krk Old Town. The site is right on the beach and includes a children’s playground, a heated outdoor pool and lots of sports activities on site. This is sold as an eco-campsite, so everything is pushed towards being outdoors in nature – ideal for families!
We stayed here in August 2018, in one of the mobile homes as we are not campers, and we LOVED IT!
There are tennis courts which can be played with night lights, mini golf, table tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, as well as a children’s pool. If you want some peace and quiet, you can make use of the babysitting service, but the Campground Piazza also has lots of life which family can enjoy together, including a restaurant, bakery, shops, and a small markets.
There are several kids clubs, depending upon the ages of your children, including the Maro Children’s Club and a Teen’s Club, which has a Nintendo Wii to enjoy. If your kids love arts and crafts, send them to the Hobby Club for some artistic fun. There is also live music, movie nights, and lots of evening entertainment (we loved the disco) to enjoy as a family.

Located in Biograd na Moru, around 29km by road from Zadar, you will find Crvena Luka Hotel & Resort. This is the ideal choice for families, with many child-friendly facilities on site. You can also book a family room, with cribs upon request, so be sure to get your request in well ahead of time, especially during the summer months.
The hotel is around 3 minutes’ walk from the beach, and the hotel has a dedicated, private section for guests, which cuts down on crowds. There are several family attractions close by, including fun Park Mirnovec and Vransko Lake Nature Park, easily reachable by hire car.
On site you will find mini golf, snorkelling lessons, horseback riding, canoeing, and cycling opportunities. There is a tennis court on site, as well as a kids playground. Entertainment-wise there are many musical performances throughout the week, as well as kids entertainment by the animation staff. You can also find mini golf, a tennis court, and lots of waterspouts on the beach, which is literally steps away from the hotel itself. Inside the rooms, you will find the regular kids TV programmes and networks to enjoy and lots of outdoor play activities and equipment dotted around the hotel grounds.
Food-wise, there is a kids menus in the restaurant and a buffet-style dining, which is much easier for fussy eating children.

Located just 5 minutes away from the beach, the hotel was recently renovated, so again, you can be sure of safe and modern surroundings. You can also book cribs and extra beds, but make sure you do this ahead of time, due to high demand.
The hotel is large and surrounded by pine trees, which means lot of shade, as it runs down to the beach. There are also swimming pools and ‘waterfalls’, as well as two which are dedicated to children only. There are lifeguards on the beach, for extra safety and peace of mind.
There are several restaurants on site, and a separate dedicated area for parents to prepare meals and food for babies and young children. All restaurants have kids menus and buffet style dining.
